The story of the Bird

One day I was sewing. I had music playing and was making a dress. Suddenly I heard a thump. And then a noise that sounded like someone was trying to break into my house.

I froze. My sewing machine clicked to a stop.

Another thump. Some scratching. The frantic chitterlings of a bird. Who was stuck in our wood stove?

Then my husband helped him (her?) escape! Yay.

And I filmed it.

Also, if you think I sound weird...I also think I sound weird. Do I really sound like that? O.o

Oh man! And, based on deanna's comment--we had a bat in our house last night! Second one this year!

No, you don't sound weird - you sound like Carolyn! :)

Actually, when we hear our own voices, everyone I've talked to about it thinks their own voice sounds weird. I just had an interview with WSLS out of Roanoke yesterday, and I think my voice sounds weird as well...

Oh, and congrats to Mr. Adventure for picking up a bird with his hands - that's something I have no desire to do! :)

Haha, I liked when Brian was like, "I hate it when that happens!" as the bird flew out of the stove. Also, great flags you have hanging!
