Magic loop (magic circle method)
Sc - single crochet
Dc - double crochet
tr - triple crochet
ch - chain
sl st - slip stitch
You will Need
1) 50 yards of each color. I made 7 flowers and used about 300 yards.
2) 4.0mm crochet hook (G) my hook says 4.25, but the internet tells me this is the same size
3) Worsted weight yarn. Mine is a cotton/acrylic blend.
Tutorial:
Using the magic loop, do 15 single crochet into the ring. Pull tight, then sl st into the 1st sc.
R1: Ch 3. *sk 1 st, sc, dc in same place you just sc, ch1, repeat from * around join with a sl st in 2nd ch of ch 3.
R2: Join new color to a ch 1 space on flower (anywhere is good). Work a sc, dc, trc, dc, sc in each ch 1 loop. Should make 8 petals. Sl st into the first sc.
R3: Work behind. *Ch 4, sl st between the sc of each flower. Repeat from * around until end, sl st into first ch4
R4: Do a sc, dc, 2tr, dc, sc in each ch 4 space around (makes 8 petals) sl st into first sc.
R5: Working from behind, ch 4, sl st behind each petal just like R3.
R6: Work a sc, dc, 3 trc, dc, sc in each ch 4 space around. (8 petals) sl st into first sc, fasten off.
Make 5-8 flowers (depending on how many you want) and join them all with a crochet ch and sl sts! I ch 20 times between each flower, but you might want more/less space.
You can see all steps in the video tutorial here, because I know text can be a little confusing!

I'd like to see a picture of it in the guest room. :) I should make one of those flowers as a headband for my baby!
